Anyone else get the 4:59 pm call while the county recorder closes at 4:30 and the wire cutoff was 2:00? I’m drafting a friendly script to set expectations about funding/recording order and payoff timing so clients feel cared for without me promising the moon — what wording works for you? It’s always a scramble at the end of the day, isn’t it? I usually set the client’s expectations by reminding them that the world doesn’t revolve around our 4:59 pm drama. Maybe adding something like ‘We won’t leave you hanging, but we’ll need to dance to the county recorder’s schedule to get this done.’ How do you think that would land with them, @fred_kline58?

I’ve found that saying, ‘We can’t close after 4:30’ helps set limits early. Did you try that script yet? :thinking:.
