E-filing rejections over unbookmarked PDFs

On Monday, Odyssey File & Serve bounced two exhibits here because they weren’t text-searchable or bookmarked, and it enforced the 35 MB per-file cap. I’m updating our Adobe Action Wizard to auto-OCR, apply PDF/A, and add bookmarks before we file — any efficient tweaks you recommend? For case-specific requirements, check local rules or consult a qualified attorney.

I added an Optimize step before PDF/A in my Acrobat Action using OCR set to “Searchable Image (Exact)” plus a 300 dpi/JPEG2000 preset, which keeps exhibits under the “35 MB per-file cap” without mangling text. Small caveat: PDF/A can bloat and sometimes trips Odyssey, so I only apply PDF/A to the main pleading and leave exhibits standard.
